The new Hongtang bridge will be completed in 2020 with a total length of 2.431 km and a design speed of 60 km / h. The project will be constructed according to the standard of urban trunk road and first-class highway, with two-way eight lane, sidewalk and non motorized lane. After the completion of the new Hongtang bridge, from Fuzhou City to Minhou street, take Yangqiao road - Hongshan Bridge - Miaofeng tunnel - Hongtang bridge - Minhou street, there will be no traffic lights on the whole line (there are three traffic lights at present), and the journey time will be shortened from at least half an hour to five or six minutes.
